Terms & Conditions of Service
Leisure Vehicle Repair, Damp & Habitation Services
1. Definitions
“We / Us / Our” refers to the repair garage.
“You / Your” refers to the customer or vehicle owner.
“Vehicle” refers to any motorhome, campervan, caravan, or leisure vehicle.
“Work” refers to mechanical repairs, damp inspections, habitation checks, servicing, diagnostics, or associated labour.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By booking work, delivering a vehicle, or authorising repairs, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
3. Estimates & Authorisation
Estimates are provided in good faith and are not fixed prices unless confirmed in writing.
Additional faults may be discovered once work begins. We will seek authorisation before proceeding where reasonably possible.
You authorise us to carry out diagnostic work necessary to identify faults.
4. Mechanical Repairs
Mechanical repairs are carried out using reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for failures caused by age, wear, corrosion, previous repairs, or manufacturer defects.
Replacement parts may be new, reconditioned, or OEM-equivalent unless otherwise agreed.
We do not guarantee that repairs will prevent future failures in related components.
5. Damp Inspections
Damp inspections are non-invasive unless agreed in writing.
Results are based on moisture readings taken on the day of inspection only.
Hidden water ingress, sealed voids, or inaccessible areas may not be detectable.
A damp check is not a guarantee against future damp or water ingress.
6. Habitation Checks
Habitation checks assess safety and operation of systems such as gas, water, electrics, and ventilation at the time of inspection only.
Appliances are tested for function, not long-term reliability.
Cosmetic condition and manufacturer design faults are excluded unless stated.
7. Gas & Electrical Systems
Gas and electrical systems are checked to relevant standards only where specifically included in the booked service.
We are not responsible for faults arising after inspection due to component failure or misuse.
8. Customer Responsibilities
You confirm that:
The vehicle is legally owned by you or you have authority to authorise work.
All belongings are removed before work begins.
All belongings are checked before the vehicle leaves our premises, we cannot be responsible for any missing items that we are not made aware of at the time of pick up.
Any known faults, previous water ingress, or warning signs have been disclosed.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle.
9. Storage & Abandoned Vehicles
Vehicles must be collected within [2] days of notification that work is complete.
Storage charges of £[20] per day may apply after this period.
Vehicles left unpaid or uncollected for [7] days may be disposed of in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
10. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
We reserve the right to retain the vehicle until payment is made (lien).
Any parts used are property of Down leisure Ltd until paid in full.
Late payments may incur additional charges.
11. Warranty on Work
Labour is warranted for [ 3 months] from completion.
Parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty only.
Warranty does not cover:
Wear and tear
Water ingress unless specifically repaired by us
Misuse, neglect, or further damage
12. Liability Limitations
We are not liable for:
Consequential or indirect losses
Loss of holidays, income, or use of the vehicle
Our liability is limited to the cost of the work carried out.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Test Drives & Movement of Vehicles
You authorise us to drive, move, or test the vehicle as necessary. All reasonable care will be taken.
14. Complaints
Any issues must be reported within 7 days of collection. We must be given reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify concerns.

. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in force at the time of booking applies.
